Built in 1881 for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad. It was originally named Cumbres and wore road number 406. In 1923 it was renumbered 346 and in 1924 a new boiler. 346 was wrecked on Kenosha Pass after the locomotive rolled over on a curve. 346 was rebuilt in Denver with a steel cab and no dome rings. In April 2024 346 was moved to the Durango Silverton for a major overhaul. It will return to the Colorado Railroad Museum when finished. It is one of three narrow gauge locomotives running in Colorado. The other two operational locomotive are RGS 20 and DRGW 491.
